In the Operation Christmas Child project of Samaritans Purse, people have the opportunity to pack a shoebox full of small gifts, designate whether the box is for a boy or a girl, and specify the appropriate age range (2-4, 5-9, or 10-14) for the recipient. Suggestions for types of items you might wish to include are provided.

You may also add a note for the child and your picture, if you would like to. Samaritans Purse encourages you to pray for the recipient of your gift. A child will receive the gift box just as you have packed it, along with a booklet written in the recipient’s language that tells about God’s gift of Jesus. Detailed instructions are provided before the shoebox collection week each November.
