Adventures in Missions |
|
Adventures in Missions is an interdenominational short-term missions
organization. Their objective is to mobilize and equip the Church
for missions by bringing the mission field to the Church's doorstep. |

Augustana Crossroad Ministries * |
|
A collaborative outreach ministry that serves people of inner city
Minneapolis in the Elliot Park and Phillip's neighborhoods.
The
ministries sponsored by Crossroad Ministries are: Crossroad Preschool,
Mom's Morning Out, Discover Support Group, YouthWorks!,
Celebrating Community Picnics, and a new and exciting ministry that is just under
development - Youth & Family Urban Immersion Center
of
Crossroad Ministries. |

Bethany Christian Services |
|
A non-profit, pro-life child placing agency. They also provide
free compassionate counseling to birth parents that allows them to make
a life-affirming decision and assist people who desire to adopt a child,
healthy or special needs, from the U.S. or internationally. |

Christ for the Cities International * |
|
Together with government entities, they help cities determine their
areas of greatest need (joblessness, children-at-risk, etc.) and then
their
missionaries foster the development and implementation of plans to
meet these needs. They currently have 130 missionaries in 13
countries. |

Christ for People with Developmental Disabilities * |
|
Christian ministry sharing God's love and word with disabled
participants throughout the greater Twin Cities area on a regular basis
through
church fellowship groups and group home Bible study outreach. |

Intercongregational Community Association * |
|
The goal of ICA is to assist our neighbors in meeting emergency
needs, including providing food for families and transportation to
medical
appointments. |

Midwest Challenge * |
|
A program that works with incarcerated youth, men coming out of
prison and men coming out of chemical addiction. |
|
Minnetonka Life Care Centers |
|
A pregnancy care center that offers services including free
pregnancy testing, counseling and alternatives to abortion. |

Mission: Moving Mountains * |
|
Their mission is: transforming communities by discipling for
development through coming alongside national leaders and equipping them
to passionately minister in their communities. |

Navigators * |
|
An interdenominational, non-profit organization whose calling is to
advance the Gospel and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual
generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
Their U.S. and international staff members help people follow Christ and
apply
the Bible in their daily lives, and train believers to reach out
to others in their communities, relationships and cultures. |

Opportunity International |
|
Giving the poor a working chance - that's what Opportunity
International is all about. Small loans, sometimes as little as
$50, in the hands
of a poor entrepreneur can transform the lives of
individuals, families and entire communities. Motivate by Jesus
Christ's call to serve the poor,
Opportunity International is a
Christian organization serving women and men of all beliefs. |

One on One Tutors |
|
A new program started Fall of 2005 at Cross of Glory Church in
Minnetonka, Minnesota. At a nearby school, Katherine Curren
Elementary,
a large number of students are socially and academically at
risk, many due to poverty level. These students come from 14
different countries,
and some speak very little English. This
program provides one on one individuals tutoring for select students who
are falling behind. |

A ministry group working in Guatemala with the "garbage-city dump"
families and children. |

Somali Friendship Group |
|
Their mission is to see Christ centered volunteers in relationships
with Somalis that transform families. By mentoring, tutoring, and
coaching
in varieties of subjects, including ESL and by doing relational
ministry meeting Somalis where they are, in a way that assists them to
move
effectively in their community. |

Sojourner Women's Shelter * |
|
Sojourner Project has been providing services to battered women in
suburban west Hennepin for over 25 years. In addition to their
Shelter program,
they provide intervention and advocacy services to
assist community women (who are not in shelter) with safety, legal and
family stability issues. |

World Servants |

World Servants is a worldwide, multi-cultural organization serving
as an agent of change by developing people as servants and leaders.
People are challenged and developed through dynamic mission trips that
have long-term impacts both on the volunteer participants and
the local
communities, while assisting theses communities to become
self-sustaining and interdependent. |

Compassion International |
|
Compassion International exists as an advocate for children,
releasing them from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and
enabling
them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.
they currently help more than 691,188 children in over 20 countries. |

Common Hope |
|
Common Hope promotes hope and opportunity in Guatemala, partnering
with children, families, and communities who want to participate in
a
process of development t to improve their lives through education,
healthcare, and housing. |

Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship * |
|
A Validated Mission Support Group of the PCUSA committed to
challenging and mobilizing Presbyterian Congregations to become engaged
in reaching the unreached people of the world with the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. |

Dinner at Your Door * |
|
An agency that delivers noon meals to elderly and handicapped
residents. |

Feed My Starving Children |
|
Their mission is to feed God's starving children who are
hungry in body and spirit. They send pre-packaged nutritious meals
to starving children. |

Heifer Project * |
|
Heifer's mission is to work with communities to end hunger and
poverty and to care for the earth by "passing on the gift." Their
gifts of livestock
and seeds for planting provide food and create
sustainable income for families. |

Hospitality House Your Directions * |
|
An organization that began its focus on Urban Youth development in
Minneapolis in 1960. They serve the community as a Minneapolis
School
District Area Learning Center, operating after-school and summer
school programs and Faith-based sports and small group mentoring
programs
which provide a safe and encouraging environment to help kids
find and lead an abundant life in Christ. |

Student Venture |
|
Student Venture is the high school and junior high ministry of
Campus Crusade for Christ International. Then mission of
Student Venture is to
give every teenager the opportunity to hear the
truth and love of Jesus Christ, to grow in their faith relationship with
Him, and to reach others with
the message of Christ. |

Church World Services * |
|
The relief, development and refugee assistance ministry of 36
Protestant, Orthodox and Anglican denominations. With more than
400 partnerships
around the world, they respond to natural and
human-made disaster, provide assistance to refugees, provide improved
nutrition and sanitation, and
help educate some of the one billion
adults in the world who cannot read. |

Damascus Way, International * |
|
A residential, Christ-centered program for men leaving prison
or drug and alcohol treatment programs. The program includes room
and board,
Bible studies, church, Christian counseling, employment help
and recreation. |

Moms in Touch |

Our purpose is to stand in the gap for our children through prayer:
to pray that our children will receive Jesus as Lord and Savior then
stand boldly
in their faith and to pray for all teachers and staff of
our schools. |
