Overview of Family Programs

Faith Church takes an integrated approach to “Family Ministries.” This means that we not only offer the full extent of excellent age-specific programming that would be desired for preschoolers, elementary-age children, middle school students and high school students, but that we also actively support, equip and encourage families to live out their faith in the home. We believe that our children will be most attracted to a life of following Christ when the home and the church join together to help people grow closer to God and to each other. Read more

Preschool:
We have wonderful facilities for preschoolers and excellent childcare providers. Childcare is offered during worship services as well as during Wednesday evening programming and most other church events.

For our week of Vacation Bible School each summer, there is a special track for preschoolers age 4 and older.

During the school year (September through May), preschool children from 6 months to 5 years can be enrolled in the Parents Morning Out (PMO) program, which meets Wednesday mornings from 9:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. The day can be extended with the Lunch Bunch program for children from 2 1/2 – 5 years, which ends at 2:00 p.m.

About once a month we offer a Parent’s Night Out program from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on a Friday or Saturday Morning Out from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., giving parents an opportunity to enjoy an evening or morning out while their children, ages 6 months to Grade 4, enjoy special activities at Faith Church.

The Summer Morning Out (SMO) program, for children from 6 months to 5 years meets on Wednesdays from mid-June through mid-August from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

For one week during the summer we offer Vacation Bible School as a morning program.

Although not a part of Faith Church programming, our church charters an American Heritage Girls group, a Christ-centered scouting program for girls ages 5 – 17 which meets in our building. Girls from our church are welcome to participate.

Middle School:
Faith Church’s Wednesday evening program for all ages includes Lighthouse for middle school students (grades 6 through 8). Lighthouse meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. during the school year.

During the 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning education hour , students in 6th through 8th grade will meet in the teen lounge for “Stimulate,” where students will have a chance to grab a beverage and study topical themes and books of the Bible.

In the spring, middle school students traditionally have presented a dinner theater. Retreats and other special events are offered for middle school students throughout the year.

Confirmation class is offered each year from October to April for those in 8th or 9th grade who wish to participate.

Senior High:
Focus is the senior high program (for grades 9 through 12) that meets Sunday evenings from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. during the school year.

Confirmation class is offered each year during the Sunday morning education hour from October to April for those in 8th or 9th grade who wish to participate.

Retreats and other special events are also offered for senior high students throughout the year.

During the summer, senior high students can participate in a Senior High Mission Trip, working on various types of service projects in different parts of the country.
