Serving INSIDE Faith Church

All who follow Christ have been given special gifts to build up the church, which is the body of Christ. When we find ways to serve that match our gifts, our service will be energizing, will be a joy, and will be affirmed by those around us. If you aren’t active in serving our congregation now or what you’re doing now isn’t a good fit, try something new! There can be different seasons in our lives for different kinds of service, so feel free to sample new ways of serving that may be a match for your gifts.

“Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.”
(Romans 12:4-8)

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”
(1 Corinthians 12:7)

In addition, these are ongoing opportunities to serve the people of our congregation and our visitors. Click on a line to see a description of what is involved in that type of service and who you can contact for more information or to participate. Thank you for serving!

No meetings are involved. There is one Faith Church prayer chain and you can choose to participate either by e-mail or by telephone.
• If you choose to receive the prayer requests by e-mail, you are asked to pray immediately when you read the request. Many print out or make notes of the requests as reminders so they can continue to pray.
• Helen Lovingfoss receives the prayer requests by e-mail and begins the telephone prayer chain. If you choose to receive the prayer requests by telephone, you are asked to pray on your own and to pass the prayer requests on to another member of the chain by telephone.
