Faith Church Foundation
The Faith Presbyterian Church Foundation was established in 1985. Its purpose is to receive, manage/invest, and distribute monies consisting of memorial gifts, bequests, and any other type of special gifts received by Faith Church.
A Board of Trustees, approved by the Session, is the body that maintains control and administration of these funds. This is done in conjunction with the Faith Church Office. They are responsible for receiving, depositing funds, issuing checks and providing the required monthly financial statements. The church accountant handles these activities with oversight from the Trustees.
The current Board consists of: Bob Blakesley, Treasurer; [vacant], Chairman; Roxie Carlson, Communications; John Parks, Bob Carlson, Eric Swanson. This group has regular monthly meetings to review financial statements, assess status of investments, discuss and evaluate/approve fund requests.
Individuals who desire to donate funds to the Foundation have a variety of end use designations they may choose. These include: Deacons, Kitchen, Library, Missions, Seniors, Stephen Ministry, Worship and Music, Youth and Children, MEAP Scholarships, Building and Roof Repair or can be un-designated.
During 2009 the Foundation approved requests totaling $34,000 to fund these items: Scholarships, Office computer server access and upgrades, Welcome Visitor Cart and supplies, Library needs, kitchen supplies, Activity Center upgrades for summer worship, Family Ministry items including shelving, furniture, painting and upgrading the Teen Lounge, Student Center and classrooms.
More specifics on any of the above information can be obtained from Financial Statements and Meeting Minutes available through the Church Office or from Trustees.
