Sunday mornings

Sundays beginning February 12 at 9:00 am in room 120
This is a video and discussion class that will help us grow in our understanding and dependence upon the Holy Spirit. This class will complement Pastor Buck’s sermon series.

Pastor and bestselling author Jim Cymbala shows you how to welcome God’s Spirit in a way that can invigorate your church and infuse a fresh sense of his power in your life. What happens when the Holy Spirit moves powerfully within a church? When God’s Spirit Moves is a six-session DVD Bible study. You will not only learn about the person of the Holy Spirit, you will learn: How to make room for the Spirit’s action in your life and in your church; how God wants to work through your gifts and talents to enable you to do what only he can do; how to listen for the voice of the Spirit in prayer and how to apply God’s Word to your life; how the Spirit can bring healing to your body, your emotions, and your relationships; how a life lived in the presence of the Spirit can transform the church and the world; and how your church can become a place where people regularly experience God’s presence and his power.

Guys! This is for YOU!

Men’s Ministry is starting a new study on Wednesday night, January 25 at 7:00 pm in room 114 on the book of John. The series is led by Pastor Buck. Guys, even if you haven’t participated before, come and dig in with us!

Most Wednesday evenings 6:30-7:30 pm
Group prayer for Faith Church On many Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm a group gathers to pray for Faith Church. Contact Barb Tenney if you would like to be included in the e-mails or get a phone call about which weeks the group will meet. We understand that people have complex schedules, so even if you can only come occasionally, come whenever you are able. If you can only come for the first 30 minutes, that’s fine.

When Helping Hurts This class will explore the painful truth about poverty. We will explore who are the poor, what should be some approaches we can consider, and what are some next steps. Jesus calls us to help the poor. Come and find out how to make a difference. This class is led by “Beyond Us” Mission Team members.

Just Walk Across the Room Do you wish you could share your faith in Christ with family and friends in a way that is not as daunting as you might imagine? Through videos and discussion in small groups, this 4-week class gives practical examples of how daily relationships can be used by God to change lives. Read more

We have a great opportunity to hear more about how Christ is working in local communities. If you have volunteered with Urban Homeworks in the past, you know what an awesome, Christ-centered organization this is. Faith Church has the privilege of walking and working alongside Urban Homeworks. Now is your chance to hear about how they are changing lives!

During this two-week series, the picture will unfold that God worked through saints with cracks in Bible times and does so in our midst yet today. Each class is a stand-alone and we will study the Word, observe that imperfect people are used by God, take delight in this fact, and share real life stories and testimonies from our lives today. Be sure to join us!
